The Shift

Ashkan Maleki

During April and May 2020, Covid-19 was spreading everywhere around the world as well as in British Columbia. As artists, living in isolation, we asked ourselves How can art act as a mean for communication and engagement in solidarity? How can it be accessible for the city and pedestrians in critical times?

As an act of care, the windows of our apartment, became a dynamic communicative gallery, showcasing artworks every day and providing some momentary excitement, hope and moral support to the neighbourhood and our community.
